This Day in Music – When Christian Radio Succeeds! The Wonder of It All

Never…ever has Christian radio made me actually stop changing the channel because of a fresh, great sound. If such a sound is heard on Klove then it’s typically a familiar Crowder tune or something I’ve already been listening to for some time now.  I get the Klove listener polls to rate the music they’re playing because I figure I can’t gripe and complain if I don’t even get involved. They do serve a good purpose, they just need some help sometimes in picking music.

However, yesterday I was so stunned that I had to double check the station I was on. Then I had the thought that the station canceled Klove and adopted a new station! I quickly checked out the previous songs they’d recently played and found a new phenomena: Monday Morning! They’ve totally puzzled me! The song played was Wonder of It All and I’m totally digging it. The perplexing thing is that the band isn’t doing anything! That I can figure out at least.

Their CD, Fool’s Paradise was released in Feb of last year and got horrible reviews on iTunes. The cover is incredibly cheesy but the songs on their mySpace page are hot! They have one lil blog entry dated this summer but that’s it. So, I’m not sure if the CD is worth buying or not but wanted to put the word out in case anyone has heard of them and especially to get you over to check out Wonder of It All. Passionate vocals, great driving beat, excellent blend of guitars/pianos/etc. and good lyrics! I LOVE THIS SONG!

Hopefully, this song getting into the rotation over at Klove means that something else is brewing and coming out and not that they’re simply that far behind!

Cool with a bit of cheese

Yeah it’s cool but with a slice of cheese.

So they have a music video to this song on MySpace:

It’s not really even a video…just stills of some girls on top of CGI.

Regardless, the comments on the video include one: “Sorry to see you guys break up!”…so I guess they didn’t last too long :-)
