Youth and Super Bowl
So what’s everyone planning for Youth Group this Sunday?
If you’re like me, Youth Group runs some time on Sunday afternoon, maybe 4:30-6 like in our case, and this weekend the Super Bowl kick off is at 5pm CST but with pregame events starting even earlier.
SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Canceling? Throwing a big party? Nothing in particular?

HOME
We are HOME! After a crazy weekend of driving, playing, sleeping, playing, driving, detouring around a wreck and driving along the levee and finally getting home!
Incredible stories, some pics, and great laughs! Can’t wait to share. Glad to be HOME though.
Flossed my teeth and kissed my kiddos. Time for bed! See you in the morning.
Boy did this week’s episode seem to FLY by? Or am I just that exhausted?
Recap:
Michael and Dwight are sent ‘undercover’ to spy on a competitor paper company called Prince Family Paper. Knowing a few local business owners, it’s kind of silly the way this plays out. They kept the home grown family just a bit too clueless for me.
That being said, I love that this episode highlights the side of Michael that ISN’T a bumbling idiot. There’s truly a struggle within him to do the right thing for Dunder Mifflin or for Prince Family Paper. The little ‘bitter-sweet’ analogy at the end was too much of a biting reality I was so thankful for the comedic relief after the credits! But such a great moment in The Office.
The rest of the branch is entrenched in a bitter debate over whether or not Hilary Swank is ‘hot!’ I must have missed something, why Hilary Swank? Regardless, this plot-line was so absurd and so over the top that it had me laughing harder at every moment! It also attests to the caliber of comedians in this show! Everyone is hilarious!
For some reason, these past 2 episodes have shown Jim making a true effort to try and work? Not sure what that’s all about though

Find Me in Texas this Weekend!
Tweets, bloggers, friends, PHOTOGRAPHERS of Dallas, Ft. Worth, Arlington area I am coming your way tomorrow! We’re rolling out of Baton Rouge first thing in the morning to get to Dallas, TX and playing a show, crashing and then playing a show Saturday night in Ft. Worth. Then when we wake up from our coma we’ll huff it back here on Sunday.

Best Moment
- Hurley throwing his Hot Pocket at Ben! I nearly peed my pants! That’s THE BEST thing to do with one of those! Hysterical!
What an incredible season opener! I haven’t felt this excited about a season for a show like…ever?!?! We know what we’re dealing with now: time travel but we just don’t know ‘who’s’ traveling through time? Crazy stuff. My favorite characters on this show are Daniel, Ben, and Hurley so I got SO MUCH out of this episode! I think Ben’s got to be one of the best actors! I mean you hate him so mercilessly at times and yet there in the kitchen I was convinced by endearing gaze that Hurley should follow him anywhere! The guy is incredible!
Hurley’s big heart also makes me all mushy inside! He’s this incredible persona of the human confliction that we struggle with. His hang up with lying! We lie so easily in our culture and I am so glad this was not taken lightly.
Daniel’s going to be the most interesting character to watch this season. (And Locke! How does he die?!?!?) But I just can’t get enough of Daniel. There’s this balance of timid science geek and glint that he knows so much that quite possibly could make him the most powerful person on that island!

Are You Getting LOST
I haven’t been this excited since they announced The Monster Squad’s 2 disc 20th Anniversary edition in time for Christmas!!
THE BEST SHOW on TV returns tonight! Tune in for the LOST Season Premiere. I’m going to try and live blog it! Otherwise, I’ll drop a post ASAP on it. I’d love to know your thoughts!

The Office’s Duel

Then we have THE DUEL! FINALLY, Andy comes face to face with Dwangela! It’s some of the funniest physical and witty comedy I’ve seen!

I haven’t had the opportunity to get out and lead worship lately but this Wednesday I’m getting out to the Dunham School here in Baton Rouge to lead worship/speak for their High School Chapel. I’m pumped!
