Music Worship from yesterday

Video coming soon but until then!

  1. You Alone – E  – DC*B
  2. Everlasting God – B – Lincoln Brewster – funny story coming, Los how’d yours go??? HAHAHA
  3. You are so good to me – G – Third Dayish mix
  4. It is well with my soul – C – Shane and Shaneish mix
  5. This is our God – F# – Chris Tomlin and David Crowder
  6. Baptism – D – Randy Travis! WHAT RANDY FLIPPIN TRAVIS??? Yes Randy Flippin Travis

Yeah, we had a couple baptisms yesterday and Garnett’s message was on baptisms and Randy Travis has the tear jerking sappy song about baptism and he loves it and we did it. It was after the sermon, after the baptisms, and it worked incredibly well.

The overall tone of the day was incredible. The music worship up front had a good steadiness to it. We had some guest musicians with us this week that was a spectacular addition and so I think only a video recap would do justice! ‘SEE’ you soon!

The Randy Travis song actually worked pretty well. To be honest, the quality music was a plus given that the talk on baptism was a little, um, slow (the topic, that is).

It also totally rocked having a quality, hearable female vocalist. It seems like we rarely get that.

Yeah, I think we’ve done it in A before but that song underwent a lot of scrutiny this week trying to get it to sound right 🙂 We ended up in B.

The Randy Travis was surprisingly fitting and really good. Alyssa’s voice is just incredible. It’s totally different stylistically and sounding from the typical back ground vocal. I thought the vocals this week were nuts!! Me, Matt, Aylssa, and Tia just sounded huge and it was just right!

I can’t believe the whole thing over Everlasting God! I’ve been reading it up on Los’ blog, here, and over at Klampert’s.

We used it very recently too and it was great!

Looking forward to reading how it went for everyone else…! I play it capo 3 in G, which I believe is Bb.

Looks like a great set. I bet worshippers were well connected with God. We introduced Everlasting God about six weeks ago and I swear everyone knew it already. Generated tremendous enthusiasm and worship response. One of THE great worship tunes of our time. We play it in D. Sounds like you guys are doing a great job! Keep it up.

Thats it right there while everlasting god isnt very modern sounding like a crowder song it is a fantastic worship song that the church is ressponding to.

I guess that’s why 3 prominent worship leaders have released it this year! HAHAHA.
Yeah this week was incredible on many levels, video should be wrapped up by tonight, cross your fingers and hold your breath!
