Easter Sunday, where did it go?!?!

Yesterday was a blur! But a great and wonderful blur.

5AM – alarm goes off
5:12 – out of bed roaming to the shower
6:15 – heading to pick up doughnuts and coffee
6:25 – doughnuts shop closed b/c it’s Easter Sunday…crikey…what am I thinking? Thank God someone’s observing today 🙂
6:38 – St. Arbucks never closes! I apologize to Ali that all the hypocritical Christians picking up their coffee in preparation for worship God on this most glorious day are helping the problem of her having to work on this most sacred day…she chuckles…
6:50 – I get to watch the sun rise on Easter Sunday while frantically making last minute adjustments in the sanctuary.
7:30 – Justin arrives and we have a moment of calm before the storm.
7:45 – Practice begins
8:25 – Jim says our version of Christ the Lord is Risen Today is flat and “eh.” Not the words of encouragement we were looking for but necessary for last minute adjustments. “Eh” is not something I was going for.
8:55 – 9AM service begins!
10:15 – Woah that 1st service went by quickly! But it was yummy!
10:35 – Clobbered by daughter as she and Preggers get to church. It is a most beautiful day indeed!
10:42 – 10:45 service begins. I’m a minute and a half late 😦
11:03 – We begin the shenanigans that is The Wonderful Cross!
12:05 – Easter services are complete. We’re probably around the church for another 20 minutes however visiting and talking and enjoying what’s turned out to be an amazing day!
12:30 – Chloe is unpacking her Easter basket full of goodies that will no doubt give her unmanageable energy! I find that the Easter Bunny has brought me the I Am Legend Special Edition DVD and give said Bunny a big kiss 🙂
3:11 – Chloe finally runs out of steam and is asleep with Daddy in her bed.
5:00 – Everyone is up and freshining up for dinner.
6:15 – Head to Chili’s for dinner with my brother, my other brother, and his wife.
8:30 – Bath and book time to get Chloe to bed. However book turns into an episode of Little Einsteins.
10:00 – Rae and I are reflecting on the days events. I unwind with Deadly Viper Character Assassins, she with instructions for her work while she’s about to be gone on maternity leave, and the Goonies is on in the background.

Poetically put by one Mr. Ice Cube: Today was a good day.

Finishing video editing of yesterday’s services to get up for ya’ll by afternoon Doctor appointment.

Nothing quite like summarizing the holiest of all days in the Christian faith with a quote from Ice Cube.

    “10:42 – 10:45 service begins. I’m a minute and a half late”

I’m not sure I get that one. Looks like you started three minutes early, unless you were supposed to start four minutes early…

Meh, what do I know? 😉

“Eh” is a good thing where I come from.

Yeah JM good catch. We try to start each service roughly 5 minutes early with a prelude. We use countdowns/videos/special songs, etc. This week we used a Countdown with a special song (Happy Day) and I started the special song late in the 2nd service.
