State of Emergency

There is nothing I’d rather do than blog about how incredible it was leading worship again yesterday, however that may have to wait. We’ve hunkered down here in Baton Rouge, LA anxiously awaiting hurricane Gustav. At this point, we’re in a State of Emergency, which is a state of hurry up and wait! He’s coming. We’re staying. It’s just a matter of time supposedly until we loose power. It’s a very surreal moment.

3 years ago we waited on hurricane Katrina but I don’t remember it being this of an ordeal waiting on her to get here. With 2 kiddos since then, we’ve decided to leave our house and find shelter with our great friend Ali at her apartment. 3 adults, 2 kiddos, 2 cats, and 1 dog. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, with 1 laundry room. It is a snug fit 🙂 But I thank God for the little things, like our outside cats remembering how to use the litter box!

I do ask and will covet your prayers. It looks like we’ll be on the North East quadrant of the hurricane, the worst spot ever! We’re under Tornado watch. We live in a neib….AH…SH&#@!…Chloe just knocked my Mag light flashlight onto my ankle bone! Sweet Jesus, that’s going to leave a mark. As I was saying, we live in a neighborhood called: Sherwood Forrest! So use your imagination on what that looks like! Yeah, we’re talking trees and lots of them. Another thank you God moment though is that we just put on a new roof!

I’ll try and keep you updated as much as I can. As always though the most up to date info will be found on my twitter page: http://www.twitter.com/worshipcity

Thank you and God bless.

God will save the day and all will say: “My glorious!”
