Thought I should clarify my twitter from earlier:
I’m leaving the dreaded Wal-Mart and headed to my wife’s car after a pretty weighty and overbearing day (more on the later) when I see way up ahead of me the lady unloading her groceries into the vehicle next to mine. I then see her close the trunk of her SUV and shove her buggy up against the back of my car away from her so she can pull out.
Well, by this time I’m almost upon her, I believe I *sigh* pretty loudly and take the buggy myself. To which I hear over my shoulder: “Oh is that yours?”
I do not respond…or look in her direction…or even acknowledge her in any way but I take it and walk across the aisle and shove it into the buggy return 10 feet away from us.
“Oh thank you!” I hear. I’m pretty perturbed and totally disregard her pleas for gratitude. Laziness and apathy are high on my list of agitators and seriously, like I said, there was a buggy return just across from us!
As I sat down and waited for her to back out, I pretty much immediately felt a little convicted. This was real trivial in the grand scheme of things and I acted pretty selfish and childlike. Not one of my finer moments.
