Quick Gavin Update

Life’s been a bit hectic lately. The weekend retreat ran right into a birthday dinner for my brother ran right into a full day of substitute teaching on Monday. Meanwhile, back at the Byrd house my wife had to deal with our cat who got in a fight with something and punctured his lymphnodes on his neck causing it to swell up like a golfball on his neck and then just 3 days after our youngest gets off antibiotics returning to a strep throat/tonsillitis.

Any other couples out there attest to everything happening when your man’s away? Thank God for my wife being a trooper and having a BFF like Ali.

So a quick update on Gavin (in case you saw my Twitter and were wondering) is that we’re starting to freak a little bit. I think we can actually just count the days he’s been well instead of being able to count the days he’s been sick. He turns 1 next month and but he’s had ear infections that led to him getting tubes put in when he was 8 months and now that he’s had tubes he’s had recurring allergy/sore throat shenanigans. We’ve had just about every antibiotics you can name.

So please pray for him…and us…

Thank you.

When it rains it pours… but don’t forget; if you want to see the rainbow you need to put up with the rain…
Doesn’t make sense now, you may question why in the world is God allowing all this to happen; but don’t doubt that it is all a part of his plan for you and your family. He may be wanting to teach you and Rae something right now, who knows…. only Him 🙂
Just trust and don’t forget ‘in HIS book were written every day that you, Rachael and the kiddos would face. These days were formed specifically for you, even while you were still in your mother’s womb…’ (psalm 139)
I will pray that our Lord will lay His healing hand on Gavin, and give you and Rachael the strength and joy you need.
